EnglandBasketball Logo Child Protection Policy. CRB Checks & Licensing

One of the most notable changes is that we have become a registered body with the Criminal Records Bureau and we are now able to offer this service to our members.

As part of England Basketball Child Protection and Implementation Procedures ALL licensed officials and coaches will need FROM September 2007 to have a current valid Criminal Records Bureau check or Disclosure. Therefore, all officials and coaches must apply for an England Basketball disclosure. To help facilitate the implementation we are offering the discloser service to all officials and coaches who licence with England Basketball. As a registered body with CRB, England Basketball can now offer this service to our members. Further details on Child Protection and CRB checks is available form our website www.englandbasketball.co.uk

Evidence of attendance of a recognised Child Protection Training course will also be required and will be a pre requisite of our training courses from Level 2 and upwards from September 2006.
