5. We cannot extend the court time allocation so please be punctual (or early!) for the start of all your games.

APC 1992 North Team Report

Devon OostrumAt the annual Area Performance Centre tournament at the University of Wolverhampton on Oct 1st, six Yorkshire players represented the North of England, George Colwill (Doncaster Danum Eagles), Steve Lokwa, James Chester, Adam Ronson, Devon van Oostrum (all TeamSpirit Sheffield Junior Sharks); Alex Knight is still recovering from injury.

Since the tournament is mainly used as an individual selection tournament, the match results are not a priority. With official scoring in doubt for one of the games, the tournament finished in a three-way tie, with the Southwest, Midlands, and North 1 all finishing with a 3-1 record. The North Two finished 0-4 with some very close finishes.

From the North, five players were selected to the England 1992 training camps: Kyro Brooks (Manchester Magic), Sam Craige (Ellesmere Port Panthers), Aaron Gerami-Poor (Manchester Magic), Matthew Clarke (Preston Pride), and Yorkshire's own Devon van Oostrum (TeamSpirit Sheffield Junior Sharks). As 1993 borns, Devon and Alex Knight will also represent Yorkshire at the annual regional tournament in Lilleshall, October 28 and 29.
